We are currently looking for a Head Pastry Chef to take charge of our pastry and bakery operation, managing a team of 3 junior chefs. It is a challenging  role as it involves every aspect of hotel operations – bread making, a full range of pastries, jams, ice cream and handmade chocolates and petit fours, afternoon teas plus à la carte desserts. It is also a unique opportunity to work in one of the UK’s few self-sufficient pastry kitchens using local  produce and home-grown produce from our renowned kitchen garden. 

Its a really important role so we are looking for someone who fulfils these requirements:

• Proven background in a minimum 3 rosette kitchen or equivalent at a Head Pastry Chef level
• College training preferred
• Good spoken English
• 2 references from previous employers
• Creativity, innovation and attention to detail
• Please note that since we are open all year round, we do not hire on a seasonal basis
• At the current time, we cannot consider applicants who do not hold an EU passport
